LAG Said: Very nice dog hammock ( Aug. 31st 2010 )

Me and my pooch are very happy with the new dog hammock. He can rest comfortably while I drive and my backseat stays hairless. Very good product.

Law in lr Said: Protects my seats, but that's about the only good thing going for it ( Aug. 27th 2010 )

This hammock protects my car seats from my Great Dane. However, she hates how the material feels. She constantly moves throughout the car trip trying to get away from the slick material. This hammock also does NOT go up as far in the front as the picture shows. I was hoping that this would help my dog from going into the front seat in the case of a crash. I'm pretty sure that in a crash she would slide up the slick material right into my lap. She can stick her head onto the center console without even having the move the front material.

CraZyPetLaDy Said: Got what I expected - good product ( Aug. 16th 2010 )

Can't think of any issues I have with it. It protects my backseat which is what I needed. Don't notice the smell everyone else seems to notice.

N. Riley Said: NOT Durable enough for large dogs ( Aug. 11th 2010 )

The concept of this is great and the price is right unless you have a dog that weighs more than 70lbs. I have a 100lbs dog and the Outward Hound Hammock lasted a couple of weeks before it shredded apart. It would be a great product if there weren't any seams, but the stitching at the seams just doesn't last. A friend of mine who bought the same product for his 65lbs dog loves the product and it has stood up well.

Raoul Said: seat protector - dog proofing the back seat ( Aug. 6th 2010 )

It's hard to make a universal seat cover to protect your vehicle's back seat from the fur and dirt. This one is not bad...the manufacturer did a pretty good job, especially for the price!

The only additions I would make would be corner straps to secure the upper corners and a couple of straps at the velcro strip to secure it to the bottom of the seat by the floor. This would keep the upper corners from flopping over and the bottom (the part the dog is on, from sliding back and bunching up. You could do these modifications easily with a standard sewing machine and some elastic and plastic hooks or large buttons, use your imagination. I'm going to enhance mine.

The hammock effect is great at preventing your dog from falling between the back of the front seat and rear seat. It also works very well at preventing your dog from falling forward between the two front seats during a hard stop (experienced this first hand with excellent results). Mine stopped my 40# Husky from flying forwards during a hard stop from 45 MPH.

Good product that I would recommend.

It cleans up fairly well but it is a bit difficult to get the embedded dog hair out of. The modifications I mentioned would also make it easier to vacuum in place. It is easy to remove for cleaning and reinstall.

The pet food recall scared us into making our own dog food at home for Blacky and Yeti. We did alot of research into dog nutrition requirements and went through alot of trial and error trying out new recipes for the dogs - seeing what they liked and what they didn't. We ended up with quite a few super yummy recipes. Our friends begged us to share the recipes with them and we realized there were probably lots of other dog owners out there that would love to try these dog food recipes out on their dogs too! So, FreeDogFoodRecipes.com came into being. It really is as easy as 1-2-3.
